Traditional Perito Moreno Glacier
Image Gallery
Description
The Perito Moreno Glacier, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is undoubtedly one of the most incredible spectacles when it comes to delight our eyes and ears with its impressive landslides. Located almost 80km from the city of El Calafate, it is a must visit for thousands of tourists who arrive year after year. After traveling along Provincial Route 11, bordering Lake Argentino, we will enter the Magellan Peninsula by circumventing the Brazo Rico. There we will stop at the Curva de los Suspiros, and for the first time we will be able to observe the majestic Glacier and take pictures. We will continue to the Muelle Bajo de las Sombras where those interested may choose to take a one-hour navigation to approach the south wall of the Glacier. After about 7Km we will be in the area of walkways where we will enjoy from different balconies various views of the top, front and side of the Glacier. We will have enough time to walk the various circuits and trails (Red, Blue, Yellow and Green - totaling 5 km to do on foot), where you can not only appreciate the panoramic views of the Glacier, but also the native flora and fauna. It is worth mentioning that the main circuit is prepared for people with reduced mobility. In the afternoon we will return to the Hotel.
