Description
Itinerary: Departure towards Colonia Sarmiento. There we will visit the Petrified Forest J. Ormachea. Discovered in 1927, we will also visit the Museum of Aboriginal Culture and the Dinosaur Thematic Park in Colonia Sarmiento. The Forest is home to a group of enormous fossilized tree trunks dating back 65 million years. It is formed by multi-colored clay (red, yellow, green) volcanic ash, and xerophytic shrub vegetation. The trunks are fossilized Araucaria and prehistoric palm trees that lived in that place over 65 million years ago. Route: 400 km. 70 ripio.
