Estancia La Península

La Estancia La Península is one of the most beautiful estancias in Patagonia thanks to its incredible surrounding nature. It can only be accessed by boat, making the estancia a tranquil place for visitors and animals. With both sea and land, we have a great diversity of flora and fauna. We invite you to live and learn about life on a Patagonian estancia. Have a unique and authentic experience being part of our sustainable tourism vision. We offer four activities: Horseback Rides: Our Criollo white horses, of Patagonian breed, will safely lead you through our environment to explore our diverse vegetation such as the pampa, lenga forest, and Señoret Channel coast. This ride will take us to the Balmaceda Glacier overlook. Before returning, we will enjoy bird watching along the coast. Duration: 2 hours approx. 4x4 Off Road: From the estancia, we go to one of the peaks of Cerro Ballena. During the first part of the route, we cross a typical ñirre forest where many different birds and rabbits live. Then we pass through another type of forest where coigue, canelo, and chaura, the arboreal species that predominates in the terrain, abound. We continue to the peak of the cerro where you will have an incredible 360-degree view of the fiords and mountain ranges, as well as some fossil records. Duration: 1:45 approx. Guided Walk and Bird Watching: We walk along the coast where we will observe the diversity of wildlife. Birds such as flamingos, swans, eagles, and others can be spotted. On the way to the Balmaceda Glacier overlook, the guide will explain about the flora, fauna, and history of the place. Relaxation time at the estancia: If you just want to relax, read a book, or simply walk around our estancia visiting the stables or horse barn, you can have it as an option. Take photos of our animals and wild birds.
