Description
A private transfer will pick you up from your hotel to transport us to the shores of Lake Grey, located 110 km from Puerto Natales. The journey will be made via the new road to Paine (southern access). Before starting the adventure in Lake Grey's waters, our Guide will conduct a safety briefing, an introduction to kayak handling, and the details of the route. With the peaks of Paine Grande and the spectacular Glaciar Grey in the background, our guide will give safety instructions and paddling commands. The navigation will last 1.5 hours and will take place at the southernmost part of Lake Grey, where you will have the opportunity to paddle alongside the giant icebergs that, after breaking off from the glacier, navigate towards the lake's shore. These floating icebergs are sculpted by wind and sun, taking incredible shapes and colors. Throughout the entire navigation, we will have a privileged view of the majesty of the Paine Massif; Paine Grande, La Cordillera Olguín, and the famous Cuernos del Paine, which, together with the turquoise color of the water, create a perfect contrast with its granite and sedimentary rock walls. After paddling on Lake Grey, we will start descending the Río Grey, which has very entertaining rapids created due to its capricious rock formations of great particular beauty. We will also be able to appreciate the different species of aquatic birds that inhabit the river, such as the peculiar spectacled duck and torrent duck. We will paddle alongside the Paine Massif for the 25 km that the river has in length until it joins with the waters of the Río Serrano. The trip ends in the Pueblito Serrano after 3-4 hours of paddling. Private transfer to Puerto Natales. Lunch and Snacks included.
