Description

Having traveled the 100 km that separate Puerto Madryn from Puerto Pirámides, we will be able to embark on boats specially equipped and prepared for whale watching (Franca Austral). After a short introductory talk given by the captain and guide of the boat, we will get into the boat, which will be towed by a tractor in charge of getting us into the sea. We will begin our search for a group of whales; the guide will give us information about these impressive mammals while the captain will lead us to what will be our approach to them. He will stop his engines at a prudent distance and they will slowly approach us, allowing us to photograph them on the sides of the boat, in the bow or stern. Many times we will even be able to see them passing underneath the boat. If we are lucky, we will witness in the distance an impressive leap, typical of them, or the peeking and dancing of a tail. The navigation will last approximately an hour and a half, depending on the distance of the group. Returning to the coast, we will continue our tour of Peninsula Valdes. NOTE: If we hire the Península Valdés excursion in regular service, we will only have the option of sailing for whale watching in traditional boats. In the case that the excursion was in private service, we will be able to do the whale watching either in traditional boats or adding the option of the special SUNSET departure (at sunset), and also the option in YELLOW SUBMARINE boat that has vision below the waterline. It is worth mentioning that the duration of these last two options is somewhat longer than the traditional one.
