Description
To the beauty of lakes and forests, this walk adds the magic of shapes. Leaving via Route 237, the Limay River Valley is traversed. At 35 km, we arrive at the "Amphitheater," where a lookout (the audience) allows us to observe from above, the picturesque course of the river, a semicircle with islands that give origin to the name of the place. Further on, the magical rock formations of the Enchanted Valley begin. At the confluence (union of the Limay and Traful rivers), before crossing the bridge, we veer left. It is interesting to go 1 km by the road to Cuyin Manzano, which is about 5 km away, to appreciate the continuity of the rock formations and the river canyon. After crossing the Minero River, the road borders Lake Traful passing by the "Traful Lookout," a 70-meter-high cliff above the lake, which constitutes the ideal place to contemplate and photograph it. A few kilometers later, the small town of Villa Traful allows us to enjoy a good lunch, exquisite tea or taste homemade chocolates and alfajores. Before leaving the lake, the road passes through a beautiful sandy beach. Then begins an ascent on a forested path until the gateway, where it intersects with the Seven Lakes Route to continue towards Villa La Angostura, bordering part of Lake Correntoso. After passing Lake Espejo, we merge onto asphalt arriving at the town located in the "narrowing" of entry to Quetrihue Peninsula. After touring the town, enjoying the beautiful landscapes that the lake provides along the side of the road, we continue until intersecting again with Route 237 to enter Bariloche.
