Description
The traveler who departs from Puerto Pañuelo had the pleasure of navigating in a setting of snow-capped mountains and lush forests. Over the transparent waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi, one arrives at Victoria Island, known for its high cliffs. Pine, coihue, and beech forests seem to hold stories and legends destined to surprise travelers with their mysteries. A reserve of native animals (pudu pudu) and exotic ones (red deer and golden pheasants), the park ranger school, and a warm hostel bring life to the island. After a few more minutes of navigation, the excursion continues until reaching Quetrihue, a peninsula that houses the famous arrayán forest, unique in the world for its extent, density, and development of its specimens. Witnessing the arrayán covered in white flowers or gently loaded with snow is to find oneself in a magical dimension, different. Finally, as dusk begins to fall over the Andes mountain range, one returns to Puerto.
