Description

At the beginning Cerro Castor had only 3 quad chairlifts, 1 ski lift, 15 runs and a building at the base. Today its infrastructure is different and has grown a lot, but it maintains the essence that characterized it since its beginnings. Thanks to different investments, this mountain today has lifts for all ski levels, an exclusive cabin complex at the base, 8 gastronomic points that allow you to appreciate the Fuegian landscape from different places, but above all, it maintains the quality of snow that has always characterized it. Cerro Castor is located 26 km. from the city of Ushuaia, Argentina; on Route Nº 3, Km. 26. It is easy to access since the road is completely paved. Being the southernmost ski center in the world, it has characteristics that make it unique and different. To ski in Cerro Castor is to enjoy the best quality of snow, due to the orientation of the mountain (south slope) and its extreme location (parallel 54° similar to Moscow in the northern hemisphere). In winter, the most common and safest way to get to the city of Ushuaia is by air. You can reach this paradisiacal place in only 3 hours and 20 minutes by daily flights from Buenos Aires. The resort is located 26 km from the international airport of Ushuaia, capital of Tierra del Fuego, allowing in a few minutes an easy access to a unique place.
