Description
The proposal is simple but tempting: the journey begins with an incredible hike and ends in inflatable canoes, next to a landscape that unites sea, rivers, mountains and forests. Fifteen kilometers separate our Ushuaia office from the Coastal Path, inside the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Once there, we will let ourselves be carried away by the wonder of the place; always on foot, and in contact with nature. The almost 8 km of undulating path, considered of medium difficulty, do not present a major challenge to passengers who are fond of exercise and have the appropriate clothing. The hike invites us to get to know, in detail and in a pleasant way, a recovered paradise where the mountains can be reached from the seashore, and the fresh water of rivers and lakes coexists with the marine coast. Near Lake Acigami (former Lake Roca) we will have lunch in our comfortable structural tents sheltered from the weather. After a short rest, and equipped with rubber boots, trouser covers and life jackets, we will paddle from Lake Acigami aboard inflatable canoes (duckie type), very safe and stable - following the slow flow of the Lapataia and Ovando rivers. Our journey begins in fresh water until we reach the sea, in Lapataia Bay. During approximately one hour, we will see the flora and fauna of inaccessible places, bringing us closer to the viewpoint enjoyed by the Yámana people several centuries ago.
